My name is Sujatha Santhanakrishnan, although most people call me Suze. I’ve been blogging intermittently since 2004.
When I started blogging, I was a college student who had no idea what I was going to do with the rest of my life.
I majored in telecom engineering in college and realized upon graduation that I had almost no vocational or practical skills. I decided, therefore, to go to business school where I learnt to say things like “core competencies” and “paradigm shift” with studied nonchalance. I started my first job as an analyst in investment banking in the fall of 2007. And what a fall it was!
After two years of banking, I realized I missed studying (no, really) and decided to go back to school. I’m currently reading for a masters in Comparative Politics at the LSE, where my research interests include political economy, the institutions underpinning capitalism, South Asia, and national self-determination movements.
Over the past five years, I’ve lived in four apartments, in three cities, across two countries.
I still have no idea what I am going to do with the rest of my life.
